We have more independent outside directors than is required, with 11 out of 13 independents on our board, or 84.6 percent.
Steven R. Rogel, a director of the company since 1997, has been chairman of the board since 1999 and was Weyerhaeuser president and chief executive officer from 1997 to 2008. Prior to joining the company, he served as president and chief executive officer of Willamette Industries, Inc. from 1995 to 1997 and as its president and chief operating officer from 1991 to 1995. He is former chairman of the American Forest & Paper Association, and the National Council for Air and Stream Improvement, Inc.
